Meet Sian O’Shea

Sian is an experienced Occupational Therapist with over 20 years of practice across a range of clinical areas, including community mental health, injury management, private practice and functional and medico-legal assessment.

She has worked extensively with adults and young people with psychosocial disability and brings a strengths-based and compassionate approach to her work.

Sian is known for her ability to develop strong therapeutic relationships and to provide meaningful, evidence-based support that is tailored to each individual’s goals and circumstances.

Sian is committed to delivering high-quality, client-centred care and works collaboratively with clients, their families, support networks and service providers to enhance functional outcomes and community participation. As a clinical supervisor, Sian draws on her diverse professional background to support occupational therapists at all stages of their careers. She provides thoughtful, structured supervision that is responsive to each therapist’s learning style, caseload demands and professional goals.

Her areas of expertise include functional capacity assessments, the use of standardised and non-standardised assessment tools, report writing and navigating complex clinical presentations within the NDIS. Sian offers practical guidance and constructive feedback, empowering supervisees to grow in confidence and clinical capability.
