Please note: This is an introductory workshop focused on the foundations of safe moving and handling practice. It does not provide practical competency training in specific techniques such as sling application, hoist transfers, rolling or complex positioning. Further practical training is essential before independently prescribing manual handling equipment, developing comprehensive Moving and Handling Plans or providing competency-based carer training.

About the Presenter
Aideen Gallagher is an Occupational Therapist who has worked in moving and handling for the last 20 years.
She is the author of the Amazon #1 best-selling book ‘The Manual Handling Revolution’ as well as her second book released in 2021, ‘SmartCare’. Aideen is the co-creator of the SmartCare passport a systematic safe work procedure product which was winner of the InnvoAGEING award for productivity in Aged Care in 2021.
In 2018, Aideen was a finalist for the Safe Work Leadership award in NSW Australia. Aideen is known in the field for her innovative teaching methods based on her post graduate diploma in Education.
