Jane Galvin is an experienced Occupational Therapist who has worked across a range of clinical settings in Australia, the US and the UK.

Jane worked primarily in paediatrics before transitioning to private practice in 2017. Jane is the principal OT at ParticipateOT in Melbourne, and has a special interest in supporting young people to transition out of home. Jane has been working to help clients achieve SDA funding since starting in private practice in 2017 and has been involved at all stages of the process, from exploring options, applying for SDA, appealing decisions to AAT and transition to new home.

Robyn Hanssen has worked as an Occupational Therapist for over 15 years in a range of clinical settings including rehabilitation, aged care and disability. Robyn currently works as a sole trader and has been working with NDIS participants since 2019. Robyn predominantly works with people with cognitive disabilities completing Functional Capacity Assessments, SIL assessments and providing therapy related to participants goals. Robyn is also the mother of a child with a disability, who is an NDIS participant. She recently went to the AAT to challenge a decision made by the NDIA regarding reasonable and necessary supports for her child. This enabled her the opportunity to gain an understanding of the process involved in challenging decisions made by the NDIA, experience providing evidence and observing a range of professionals providing evidence at a hearing.

What Are Others Saying?

"Overall I found this very informative. I really enjoyed the examples provided as this solidified the concepts discussed. I think this benefits all OT's given the volume of matters going to ART and increases overall in NDIS making challenging decisions with plans / AT etc."

Emma P, Occupational Therapist

"I found the workshop very informative and helpful. The framework used to write NDIS Functional Assessments which was outlined in the workshop, was clear and comprehensive. Its important OTs are aware of all components within such an assessment so as to ensure clients receive the funding they need."

Susan B, Occupational Therapist
