Join Jennifer Winstone from Commspec and MyComms for this AT Connect session, exclusive to OTs
This session introduces MyComms, a clinician-designed app that makes visual supports easier to create, personalise and use in everyday life.
Visual supports can help people understand what is happening, navigate routines, prepare for change, make choices and complete everyday tasks. MyComms brings these supports into a mobile platform, so they can be created and updated when and where they are actually needed.
Through MyComms, users can create personalised task breakdowns, daily schedules, weekly calendars and choice boards using real photos, text and customisable templates. Supports can also be exported, printed or shared with families, carers and support teams.
For OTs, MyComms provides a practical way to incorporate visual supports into intervention for people experiencing communication, comprehension or executive functioning challenges. It can support people across the lifespan and is available as low-cost assistive technology through NDIS funding where appropriate.
About Communication Spectrum
Communication Spectrum is the Australian company behind MyComms, founded by Jennifer Winstone, a Speech Therapist, and Jessica Shahbazi, a Teacher and Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner.
With more than 30 years of combined experience across education, health and disability, Jenn and Jess developed MyComms after seeing how difficult it could be for families and professionals to create visual supports that remained practical, personalised and accessible in everyday life.
MyComms is designed to support people of all ages and abilities, particularly those who experience communication breakdowns or challenges with comprehension or executive functioning. Its mobile-first approach allows visual supports to be created and adapted on the go rather than relying on a laptop, printer or pre-prepared resources.

A Supportive
OT Community
Working as a sole trader or being the only OT in your organisation can feel isolating. As an Inner Circle member, you’ll be part of a community of people
who share your challenges, interests and professional drive.
Service Agreement NDIS Template
Service agreements outline the terms of service between you as an OT and your client. This foundational NDIS template includes the responsibilities of both parties, payment terms, support details, complaint processes and termination procedures. It's customisable, so you can add your own branding and adjust specifics, such as travel charges or service duration, to fit your practice.
Functional Assessment Templates
Functional assessments are critical for OTs in the NDIS space – but the NDIS doesn’t provide a standardised template. Our functional assessment template helps you structure your assessments to cover all the details the NDIS requires, from assessment tools to recommendations. We offer templates for all functional assessments, including SDA, SIL and ILO assessments.
Schedule of Support NDIS Template
Used in conjunction with the Service Agreement, a schedule of support specifies the number of hours and costs involved in the services provided. This formal document is given to participants and family members to ensure they understand the investment required for the services.
Report-Writing Guides
Many of our NDIS templates come with report-writing guides, perfect for anyone unfamiliar with or needing to refresh their knowledge of NDIS reporting requirements. The guides provide advice on how to complete each section of the template, ensuring your reports are thorough and compliant.
Checklists and other resources
We've also created a range of checklists, services overviews plus gathered our favourite external resources in the one spot for members to access. Our inner circle resource hub also includes the A-Z of the NDIS, with individual 5-10minute video tutorials on a range of NDIS related topics to guide you through your NDIS OT journey.
Access personalised, weekly Q&A sessions with Sarah and your Inner Circle community
At our weekly Q&A sessions, Inner Circle members access personalised, weekly support in a group discussion that works like ongoing supervision.
If you encounter a challenge that’s holding you back – whether it’s a documentation issue, a client question or a change in NDIS policy – you can ask your questions at our Q&A session for a quick, expert response.
You won’t need to wait more than a week for answers, so you can continue providing your services without delay.
Submit questions in advance
You don’t need to be present live to get your questions answered, either. Submit your queries beforehand, and they’ll be addressed during the session. Afterwards, you can watch the video recording, complete with timestamps to help you quickly locate the answers to your specific questions.
Get real-time advice
If you’re able to join live, you can participate in discussions and ask additional questions on the spot. Along with guidance from experts, you’ll benefit from the collective insights of other OTs.
BONUS: Q&A recordings
Access all previous recordings of Q&A to further your professional development. This includes access to Q&A sessions that occurred before you sign up as an Inner Circle member. Perfect for drives between clients or waiting for school pickup.
OT Masterclass
Each month, the Inner Circle brings you a new practical OT Masterclass, designed to support your role as an Occupational Therapist.
These sessions are presented by experienced guest OTs who share real-world strategies, tools and insights.
The content applies across a wide range of OT practice areas – not just the NDIS – making it relevant for clinicians in diverse settings.
Join the live session to take part in open discussion, ask questions and learn alongside fellow OTs.
Can’t make it live? No worries – the session recordings are available anytime in the Inner Circle resource hub, so you can catch up when it suits you.
NDIS Insight Sessions
A live session on current NDIS happenings, explainers of new resources and answers to your key questions.
Held at the same time each month, NDIS Monthly Insights will ensure Inner Circle members always armed with the latest knowledge and expertise, ready to navigate any changes with confidence.
Each session will cover:
- Timely updates on NDIS developments, announcements and trends
- Clarifications and walk-throughs of new resources we’ve released (e.g. report templates, tools)
- A chance to ask questions and stay on top of what's most relevant right now
- We confirm the specific content a few days prior to each session, so it’s always fresh, current and tailored to what’s happening now in the NDIS.
