The NDIS is entering a major period of reform and uncertainty. Proposed legislative changes are expected to significantly impact participants, funding processes and how Occupational Therapists work within the NDIS sector.

This free NDIS Insights session has been developed in response to the growing confusion across the disability sector about:

  • what changes are being proposed
  • what reforms are already progressing
  •  what these changes may mean in practice for Occupational Therapists and participants

Join Sarah Collison as she breaks down the proposed NDIS reform and reset agenda in practical, accessible language.

Key discussion areas include:

  • changes to functional capacity definitions
  • eligibility and permanence requirements
  • reasonable and necessary criteria
  • Support Needs Assessments
  • new planning and funding models
  • provider registration and pricing reforms
  • the potential impact on Occupational Therapy practice and participant outcomes

There is currently a limited opportunity for the disability community and allied health professionals to provide feedback on the proposed legislation.

This session will also encourage Occupational Therapists to engage with the consultation process and consider making a submission: https://www.aph.gov.au/Parliamentary_Business/Committees/Senate/Community_Affairs/NDISFutureGenBill

Not an Occupational Therapist? That's okay, come along anyway if you're interested in learning about the proposed legislation.
